Famous Fingers

Hah… a photo I took when I first got my 1st Gen iPhone made its way onto another technology blog recently. My gnarled hands are in beautiful contrast to my pristine, jailbroken iPhone, in this particular shot, LOL.

More than anything though, I’m proud and amazed that so many people choose to use my photos, and this one in particular, over and over again to accent their blog posts.

Global Cannabis March

phillynorml_0084bw

So, I found myself in the middle of another protest/rally today. Actually, I read about it on Philadelphia Weekly’s blog. This time it was on Broad and South Streets for the repealing of laws restricting the use of marijuana. I captured some photos and want to share them with you. But first, here’s a terrible video I shot with my iPhone (which doesn’t have native video recording support).

The Global Cannabis March is an annual event which takes place in over 200 cities worldwide. It started in 1999, and since then over 450 different cities across the globe have held this event.

Speakers:
Americans for Safe Access - Sonnet Gabbard (Field Director)
Students for Sensible Drug Policy - Amber Langston (Outreach Director)
PhillyNORML - TBA

Our other Sponsors include:
Pennsylvanians for Medical Marijuana
Marijuana Policy Project
Coalition for Medical Marijuana - New Jersey

Penchant For Sharing My Photos Online Backfires In A Humorous Way

Hey friends,

The following link is a perfect example of how making your photos available for free use (under the Creative Commons license) can backfire.. LOL. Try to find the picture of “ME!”

Five Ways Productivity Can Turn You Into a Real Nutjob

I just think that’s hilarious because even my close friends made fun of me for wearing that Bluetooth thing in my ear while skiing. In all fairness, that photo was taken last year and I have since changed my ways. However, I am happy to see that my photos are being used, everyday, to accompany editorial items online: Consumerist.com (a consumer empowerment website), Tech blogs and various other outlets.
