2009 Philadelphia International Auto Show

Saturday, Feb. 07 2009 I attended the Pennsylvania Convention Center for this years Philadelphia International Auto Show. On display were 2009 car models from all of the top makers. Personally, I own a Scion (which is a Toyota brand), but I’m always excited by what the automotive industry, as a whole, has to offer.

My friend James Bardolph suggested instead of photographing the cars I should photograph the people at the event and their reactions. That is what I tried to do with this set. Geeks Who Give is an organized event of Philadelphia’s tech and creative scenes to give back to needy charities and the communities around us. The first event was held at the National Mechanics bar and restaurant in Old City, Philadelphia PA. Many many boxes and bags of non-perishable food items were collected for Philabundance.

VIDEO – My Barack Obama Handshake

UPDATE!! 10-04-2008: MY VIDEO WILL APPEAR ON CNN! This morning I received a phone call from CNN that my video, also submitted to their iReport website, would be picked up for on-air use. First, Philadelphia City Paper.. now CNN. This has been a big week for me!

October 3rd, 2008 (Abington, PA) – Barack Obama, while campaigning in the Abington suburb of Philadelphia, shook MY hand. A wonderful experience. Here’s the video

In the video, you can hear the Secret Service agent talking to me. First telling me to move my camera behind me because it was hanging over the railing and Barack Obama, speaking directly to me calling me, “Sir.” Better photos from my Canon DSLR to come.

Charles Ramsey: Philly Top Cop

June 27, 2008 – Police highway patrol and Philadelphia Police Chief, Charles Ramsey have a photo opp. in front of the Art Museum. I stumbled upon this by accident. I drove into the city to do some biking and saw all of the police activity.

What I found out later was that three brand new Harley motorcycles were donated to the Philadelphia Police Highway Patrol Friday.
