Long story short, I have to buy a new car. I think I’m going the certified pre-owned route. Buying straight out, no leasing (that shit is for chumps, y0!). This is what I’m getting away from. And here is what I’m looking at. You can sort of see where my priorities lie and what I’m generally looking for:

So, I got my car back yesterday from my mechanic. What a weird feeling it is to know you have a car, but not be able to drive it when you want to. The freedom to just LEAVE or GO at will is suspended. I must have been miserable before owning a car. Anyway… I was in a single car accident back in April where I hydroplaned on a wet roadway and landed on the side of the road (cross-traffic) and into a large stone wall. Although, since I was hydroplaning, I couldn’t stop the car, I did manage to get as parallel to the wall as possible to minimize damage to the engine block and sensitive sensors and structures under the hood.
