Got Tint?

Today, Saturday April 21, 2007 I took my car into Shades of Gray Window Tinting for the works. Tint all around. I’m not telling you what percentage here because I don’t want to incriminate myself, but it’s darker than OJ Simpson at a klan rally. Here are the pics, in traditional before/after style:

THE AFTER PICTURE: Darkness!

People don’t get stopped in my city for simply having their windows tinted… unless you’re doing something else illegal such as speeding, reckless driving, driving an illegally modified car or any number of other infractions. If that’s the case, they will stop you for whatever, talk to you about the tint. According to some interpretations of PA Law, anything not tinted at the factory or manufacturer before the car is sold is illegal. But, there are so many cars on the road that are tinted, and very dark I might add, they just can’t spend the time enforcing the tint law.

The applicable PA Law or Statute is TITLE 75 of PA STATUTES - 4524 (e)(1) - This is the LAW passed by our legislators and it does NOT prohibit tint unless it “does not permit a person to see or view the inside of the vehicle through the windshield, side wing or side window of the vehicle.”
