The New Car

So… after many months of searching for the right car I bought a used (1 previous owner), 2006 Scion tC from a local dealer . My previous car (the one being replaced) was a 1993 Nissan 300ZX.

So, how should I mod this, where to begin? I’m thinking about starting by replacing the tail lights with a package from TYC. Then, I’ll go under the hood with a cold air intake (TRD or Injen).. as well as a strut tower brace.

Some Snow on V-Day

So, they predicted a severe snow storm for about a week now. When it finally arrived, it wasn’t all that bad to be honest. It was just annoying more than anything. About 3-4 inches of snow, freezing rain and sleet made driving to work the morning after interesting, but not difficult. I can’t speak for everyone, but some of the people on the road seemed to me as though they’ve never driven in this type of whether before (This is Philly, get used to it!). Some advice: When driving up a slippery hill, produce momentum by accelerating right as you start up the hill and keep the speed constant until you reach the top. DO NOT STOP OR SLOW DOWN on the hill! Thank you.

Looking up my block towards the intersection I once couldn’t navigate for about 15 minutes in a foot of snow.

Black History Month

Black-History Month is a remembrance of important people and events in black history. It is celebrated annually in the United States and Canada in the month of February, while in the UK it is held in the month of October.

Some things worth checking out:

HISTORY.COM: “Black History Month” - February marks the beginning of Black History Month - an annual celebration that has existed since 1926. But what are the origins of Black History Month?
BlackInTheCity.com: “Black presidential candidates before Obama” - Right now everyone is on the Barack Obama band wagon. However, people cannot forget the previous African American presidential candidates who came before him (except Alan Keyes).
HBO: “Bastards of the Party” - A longtime member of the Bloods, traces the roots of black gang violence in Los Angeles. Acclaimed feature film director Antoine Fuqua (”Training Day”) produces
CNN: “Ku Klux Klan is Growing” - The Ku Klux Klan has rebounded by exploiting current hot-button issues, especially immigration, according to a new report released by the Anti-Defamation League.
UCHICAGO.EDU: - “Black Youth Project” - This project will examine the attitudes, resources, and culture of African American youth ages 15 to 25, exploring how these factors and others influence their decision-making, norms, and behavior in critical domains such as sex, health, and politics.
