Kerry Will Make A Fine President
In a recent poll by a colleague of mine, Scott Jarkoff, he proposes the question; “Are you afraid of the possible outcomes of the November Presidential election this year?” Here’s my reply:
I dislike the last four years of the Bush presidency, and would much rather have a human figure in the White House rather than a puppet. It’s not just animosity over how he was elected (the electoral college sucks). I was forced to hear him out after the election debackel, but now that I’ve had a good 4 years to see him operate, I’m convinced he’s not suited for the job.
I’m impressed with Kerry’s poise, he just needs to be himself rather than trying to please everybody all of the time. I’ve seen tape of him before his campaign began, like, 30 years before, and he was the most level headed, poise person I’ve seen run for office in my short 22 years on this planet. I’ve learned to listen to my intuition about most things, and voting for Kerry was my gut impression, but after hearing him speak at length and read his (true, unfiltered by the media) positions on most things, I know he’s the right choice for me.
My thoughts on the upcoming election were probably apparent from the VOTE FOR KERRY banner on my intro page, but you see, I’m not like the 46% of likely voters who are voting not as much for Kerry but against bush. I listened to the issues, I watched both conventions and I’ve studied the histories of both candidates and determined Kerry to be the one and aligned myself with him.
