Lightening Up for August
Ok, my last few journal entries have been pretty heavy, so here’s something to lighten up my userpage. I’ll be updating this over the course of the month with links to websites I think are interesting. The rating scale is disgnated by the
emoticon. 1 - 5 with 1 being the least interesting and 5 being most interesting.

Team America: World Police - Website and trailer for a movie from the creators of South Park. It is scheduled to open in October of this year and it’s premise is that “An international police force dedicated to maintaining global stability, lears that a power hungry dictator is brokering weapons of mass distruction to terrorists.”

The Stile Project - Ah yes, a classic. The website that introduced introduced the internet world to bizarre, shocking, pornographic video and pictures as well as blog-type commentary. In the 90’s it was considered one of the most popular E/N sites out, but has sense plummeled into a website that is heavily laden with ads and infrequent updates. (not stafe for work).

Beta News - BetaNews.com is the one-stop shop (so to speak), for beta software updates. I can be argued that they mainly focus on Windows beta updates, but their software database, FileForum caters to all major operating platforms. They’ve been doing this for a while and bring you more official updates and stories as opposed to unofficial betas, leaks and hacks.

ModBlog - This is a web journal community by the founders of DeskMod.com, Mike Pacific & David Gorman. These two have come together again and created for all of us a very nifty, webbased blogging service and community. I am a member of it (VisualSense.org), and give it my full sponsorship. I suggest it to anyone who wants an easy to setup and manage, personal blog site without the hassle of installations and paid hosting. Natively, in its beta form, it is free but offers a paid membership that offers “select” feature upgrades.

TorrentBox.com - This is where I go for most of my BitTorrent needs. It models itself after Demonoid.com but is much quicker and easier to navigate. I would say Demonoid has a much more active userbase, but TorrentBox is nearly identical and you can find the same great torrents here that you would find on any of the other sites. Oh, I like SuprNova.org as well.
This was a quick post to clean up my blog page. I hope to add more as the day, week goes on. Enjoy the links and post your own favorites in the comment field below.
