2009 Phillies World Series Pep Rally
If I gave you a business card and you’re looking for photos of the Phillies World Series pep rally at Franklin Square, they will be up soon.
In the meantime, check out the slideshow below and bookmark my blog. B&W versions of the photos will get their own post. Thanks!
Past Weeks Preview
Where to begin? My last few weeks have been a whirlwind of adventure and LOTS of photography. I think I’ve taken over 1,000 photos since May and have had little to no time to review them for posting here. I really need to improve upon that for myself and for my viewers who are always asking about what I’ve photographed lately.
To stem the tide… here is a small post with a few photos from each event I captured in the 3 weeks or so:
Me and My Pals in NY: In June I vacationed in NY, NJ and PA with friends from London
The Crew: Gaurav, Gareth, Ryan and James

In this photo, James got frisky. Gareth and Ryan didn’t know when to cross.

Here I am busting shots, ready or not.

Gay Pride Parade 2009: Long overdue for a post, but I photographed the Pride Parade in New York
The colors really do scream, “happy.”

Makes me wonder what the clothing would be like if the parade was held in the winter

The Dollhouse: The NY/NJ Dollhouse is a safe space for professional lesbians & bisexual women to meet, network and enjoy their “lifestyle.”
Harlem, NY – Apollo Tribute for MJ
I visited the Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY two days after Michael Jackson died.

Thousands of names were scrawled on a wall in memory of the deceased pop star

This child danced for hundreds of Michael Jackson fans, dressed in sequenced glove and hat.

As always, you can view my steady stream of photos as I share them on the social photography website, Flickr: http://www.Flickr.com/VisualSense

UPENN Students Bridge Jumping
Yesterday, April 24th 2009, I was walking on the Schuylkill River Trail with my cousin and friend. We were thinking about walking to the Penn Relays which were going on that day but decided to just stop by the river and relax. Little did we know, it was also Hey Day for University of Pennsylvania Students.
“Hey Day” is a tradition for students to mark the advancement of each class.
These particular students were celebrating their Hey Day, or moving up to the next class year, by jumping off of the Walnut St. bridge into the murky, dirty, infested (with what no one knows) Schuylkill River.

Purple Door
I’ve never seen the address located under the mail slot. Usually it’s at eye level. Also, purple door.
South Philly, Philadelphia PA
My good friend, Max Glenister (omgmog) remixed this wallpaper in to a widescreen desktop wallpaper:
